Stavanger – MarLog AS, a locally owned company with a long and proud history in ships agency and logistics services for the offshore industry, announces today that the company has been acquired by SRG and Nikolai Bakker. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues its growth and development within traditional shipping agency and logistics operations, as well as in ship fenders.
MarLog AS was established in 1997 by Magne Grønnestad and two other co-founders and has since become a trusted partner for the maritime sector in Stavanger. The company’s slogan, “Consider it Done!”, has become synonymous with reliable service for seafarers and contractors in the oil and gas industry. In 2008, Geir Røyneberg also joined as a shareholder.
New Managing Director & owners - same focus on qualities & values
As a result of Magne Grønnestad’s decision to retire, SRG and Nikolai Bakker, currently the Marketing Manager at MarLog, have agreed to take over the company. Geir Røyneberg will continue in his current role, while Magne Grønnestad plans to retire in the autumn of 2024. Nikolai Bakker will take over the role as Managing Director.
SR Transport, the first company in SRG, was founded in 1983. Today the group holds a strong position in the transport and logistics industry.
The new owners plan to continue operating MarLog with the same focus on quality and values as before, with no significant changes for customers, suppliers, or partners. The company will maintain its strong commitment to reliability, integrity, and accessibility in all its services.
SRG will own 75% of the shares in MarLog. Nikolai Bakker, through Batr Holding, will hold the remaining 25%.
